Did you know Eco Egg sell more than their famous laundry egg?
They were one of the first natural cleaning brands I tried and as well as better value for money than any cleaning products I’ve seen before, they are also hypoallergenic and ideal for sensitive skin, eczema and babies, awarded the Allergy UK mark. Their products come in recyclable plastic, but because you can refill them there is no need to use anymore plastic once you’ve purchased it, plus they're made in the UK, vegan and cruelty-free certified and free from harmful substances e.g. SLS, animal derivatives, detergents, phosphates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, palm oil and petroleum. Their Allergy UK Award Winning laundry egg contains natural mineral pellets and mild fragrances derived from essential oils (fragrance-free options available). Just pop it in the drum in the middle of the load and the pellets in the egg react together to clean and gently scent your laundry. The white mineral pellets are made up of biodegradable surfactants, stabilisers, builders and binders. These are the pellets that do most of the actual cleaning. The dark grey mineral pellets are tourmaline. These help to do the softening of the laundry. Together, they work to clean your laundry for optimum results. . In addition, the physical mechanic of the egg case is another factor that helps to remove dirt from your clothes too, much like a traditional hard bar of soap (or even a stone) would have done. We love ours!
We don't have a tumble dryer but Nan Ecologico swears by them. They gently scent your laundry and cut drying time by up to 28%. The Dryer Eggs help to separate your laundry so that more air can circulate, drying each item more quickly. The nodules on the eggs are designed to help soften your clothes naturally so there is no need to use fabric softener. Simply put them in the tumble dryer drum with your washing and they’ll do their magic! The ecoegg Dryer Eggs come in matching fragrances to the ecoegg Laundry Egg – Fresh Linen, Spring Blossom and Fragrance Free and so are perfect to use to dry, soften and fragrance your laundry after using the Laundry Egg.
I think their washing machine detox tablets are great for a deep clean to remove limescale, soap scum and nasty odours from all the nooks and crannies. It is budget friendly too only £3.99 a box!
The bamboo kitchen roll is by far Mr Ecologico's favourite swap; paper kitchen roll is a swap I’d urge anyone to take. Reusable cloth unpaper towels are great, but if you don’t fancy it then Ecoegg have designed reusable bamboo kitchen roll that can be used 85 times per sheet (1700 uses per roll) and washed in your machine. Plus it's cheaper than paper kitchen roll per use and 10 times more absorbent. Genius!
This clay-based scrub of the hard surface cleaner is designed to cut through grease and grime. Ideal for pots & pans, bath tubs, stainless steel or ceramic surfaces like hobs or tiles, it also polishes so can be used on glass and mirrors. It lasts ages so it's great value for money as well as being super effective! We also have Ecoegg bamboo and microfibre cleaning cloths and silicone dish scrubbers; they work really well at cleaning surfaces and the pan scrubber has a few neat features, such as the scraper, the ridges and the hole to out washing up liquid in.
We would highly recommend checking out their range on our site if you haven't already. What will you choose?
